Madulce Station Retrospective
Sometimes it is good to pause for historical perspective and consider what existed in the past and what has been lost. From the late 1970s through 1988 I traveled through Madulce Station many times. It was a unique location in the Los Padres as I think these pictures will amply demonstrate. The photographs in this set were taken in 1983.

This is the view of Madulce Station a traveler would see arriving from Don Victor or Dutch Oven in the spring of 1983. Given that said traveler would likely be beaten to hell coming from either of those places, this idyllic glade of comfort would be a welcome sight.
